Vietnam's Education Gap: The SDG4 Challenge

The Challenge:

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4) is to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all. Access to upper secondary education in Vietnam declines sharply with national completion rates dropping to less than 60%.

The financial burden of tuition, uniforms, and books often prevent students in impoverished communes from continuing their education. This economic barrier limits potential and maintains the cycle of poverty.

Our Goal:

We are dedicated to increasing the completion rate of upper secondary education by providing essential support to students who face financial hardships.

See what we can do to help close the gap and increase completion rates.

Education Goals

education goals - building brighter futures.
  • Our mission is to achieve the promise of quality education for all, aligning directly with UN Sustainable Development Goal 4. While primary education in Vietnam is nearly universal, the sharp drop-off in upper secondary completion leaves thousands of bright students behind.

  • We intervene at this critical juncture, providing comprehensive scholarships for tuition and essential supplies to ensure rural and low-income students can overcome financial barriers and successfully complete the secondary education required to build thriving, empowered lives.
