The Inspiration that Started It

The foundation honors Hong Lien Ton Nu, a 12th generation princess from Huế, Vietnam whose true nobility was her sacrifice and compassion.

In 1975, at age 38, she fled Vietnam with her husband and seven children, starting over as a refugee in the USA. Despite financial hardship, she provided food, healthcare, and education for her family while sending what little she had back to those suffering in Vietnam.  Her values of compassion, humility, and generosity live on through her children.

This was her legacy. This is our mission.

A Journey of Awakening

Ngoc Bich, who is the founder of the foundation, went on a five-day charity trip with her brother, Tri, who simply wanted to give back to the region where their mother was born. What began as a gesture of goodwill led to a powerful awakening to the scale of poverty and hardship faced by the central provinces of Vietnam. After five days of experiences, they realized that a one-time gesture couldn't be the final chapter to their mother's dream of them continuing her legacy of helping the less fortunate.
