Improving Quality of Life by Accessing Healthcare

The Challenge:

The global community is unified under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG3): to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all. Unfortunately, Vietnam faces a significant gap in achieving this goal, ranking among the nations furthest from its fulfillment.

This isn't just a statistic; it represents countless families and communities in targeted communes who lack consistent access to quality medical care. Their health challenges often become barriers to education, employment, and a better life. A significant percentage of residents in A Lฦฐแป›i District have never received care from a physician, dentist, or optometrist.

Our Goal:

The Hong Lien Foundation will collaborate with Hearts for Huแบฟ, Bแป‡nh Viแป‡n Rฤƒng Hร m Mแบทt Huแบฟ (Huแบฟ Maxillofacial Hospital), and international partners to deliver both direct patient care and medical training to help close this gap.

Closing the Care Gap: Our Path to Health Equity

The road to health for Vietnam's most vulnerable requires more than just awarenessโ€”it requires a presence. The Hong Lien Foundation serves as the vital link between isolated communes and the medical expertise they deserve. By focusing our 2026 initiatives on the A Lฦฐแป›i District, we are closing the health equity gap one patient at a time, ensuring that "well-being for all" becomes a reality rather than just a global ambition.

Capacity Building and Community Health Program

The foundation will bring international medical professionals to host annual hands-on training events in collaboration with local medical institutions, while providing annual dental, vision, and health services within the targeted communes.

Support Sustainable Sanitation

When we asked Mr. Tran about an indoor toilet, he hesitated. The concept was beyond his imagination, yet he dreams of something many of us rarely think about: a safe, indoor toilet for his family. What may seem like a simple inconvenience is actually a health risk. With your generosity, that story can change.
